Lauren started photographing bands as an avid music fan while undergraduate in New York and London in the 1990s.
Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, The Observer, Spin and NPR among numerous other publications. She earned a nomination for Music Moment of the Year in the 2025 Abbey Road Music Photography Awards with her iconic image of Pulp. The American Photography annual has consistently awarded Lauren a spot among the 300 best images of the year.
She holds an MA in photography (2002) from NYU.
Lauren is based in Brooklyn, NY and travels extensively for assignments.
